A Son is Given

“O Daniel, a man greatly beloved understand the words that I speak” Archangel Gabriel

Daniel a Jewish exile in Babylon, was chosen by God, to be given prophesy of the coming empires, the timing of God’s kingdom on Earth and the timing of the Messiah. The Archangel Gabriel was sent to deliver the message, centuries before the birth of Christ.

The Messiah was expected approximately 490 years after the decree to re-build the walls of Jerusalem, to make an end of sin. The decree to rebuild was during the reign of Cyprus and is well documented, including names of the families involved in re-building. This prophesy was fulfilled in the birth of Yeshua (Jesus).

Daniel was also told when the world, as we know it, would end and Christs kingdom would be established. This era is known as the 2nd Coming, when the Son once more leaves Heaven, to bring in the Holy Age.

One interpretation of events eludes to the time after a structure is set up; most likely the Dome of the Rock. We are to count 1290 years, until the end of the age. The Dome was set up approximately 692 AD, so 1290 years later would be 1982. It adds that blessed are those that wait 1335 years. So now we count 692 AD and 1335 and we arrive at 2027. Based on this interpretation, events should start to unfold in 1982 and reach its conclusion in 2027.

Mary was also visited by Archangel Gabriel to be informed of her role as the mother of the Holy One of God.

Hail thou art highly favoured, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women. Behold you shall conceive and bring forth a Son and you shall call Him Yeshua. (Salvation/Jesus)

Both Daniel and Mary were favoured by God. We know that Daniel continued to be loyal to God within extreme testing. It can therefore be assumed, that Mary had many trials before this time and that she had proved herself faithful; earning the esteem of God’s favour. A great challenge was before her. Despite her age we are aware of her maturity in a conversation, she has with Elizabeth her cousin.

My spirit has rejoiced in God my saviour. For He has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden, for behold from henceforth all genarations shall call me blessed. For He that is mighty has done to me great things. Holy is His name and His mercy is on those that fear Him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm and has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their seats and exalted them of low degree. He has filled the hungry with good things and the rich He has sent empty away. He has helped His servant Israel in remembrance of His mercy. As He spoke to our fathers, Abraham and to His seed forever.”

At the humble birth of the new born king, rich gifts of gold ,myrrh and frankincense were presented to Mary, by councillors of the east. They were most likely aware of Daniels prophesy, as many of his documents would have remained in Babylon. They were able to ascertain, the timing and the signs of the sky by the shimmering light over Jerusalem. As Isaiah predicted, He would be a ‘light to the gentiles’ and ‘unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given.’

His Hebrew name Yeshua (Greek / Jesus) means Salvation. God wanted to save humankind, and the situation is so dire that He sent His own Son, to suffer for them. We have to look at the ministry of our King to understand the danger that stalks every soul.

‘What sort of teaching is this, even evil spirits obey Him’

(Gospel of Mark)

A majority of the King’s work was forgiving sins and expelling demons from people. This took sickness and death away. His aim was to have people enter His kingdom where they would be free from the demons, that seek after human souls, to devour them. The real war is with a demonic world that prey on human hosts. Like a person under the bondage of addiction, they are no longer masters of their own lives. Depraved human behaviour is clearly understood to be demonic, but the danger lurks at everyones door.

He is Salvation, as He defeats the Demon Prince and takes back the keys of our own souls. We can’t purchase our salvation, but King Yeshua gives it to all that ask Him, to enter His Kingdom. The Kingdom of eternal life, free from strife. Sin is not a friend, it’s an enemy, as the wages of sin are death.

We have this short life to join the battle and enjoy the victory or face eternal prison with the losers.

“Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

(Ephesians: chap 6)
